3D Artist (mid to senior level)

The Role

Interference Pattern are looking for a freelance mid to senior level 3d artist with experience in creating realistic environments to work on an exciting upcoming project.

Houdini, Redshift and Nuke knowledge/experience a plus.

Requirements

Applicants must:

• be available for an immediate start until approximately mid February 2020.
• be able to work on-site at the Interference Pattern studio in Edinburgh
• currently be able to work legally within the UK

The role requires a broad knowledge and experience of the entire 3D Pipeline, with a focus on producing polished lit 3D environments. We appreciate that potential candidates may have varying levels of experience and software familiarity; we are primarily looking a proven track record in turning out great looking work and a candidate who can demonstrate a strong sense of visual aesthetics.

MOVE Summit Event Coordinator

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to become part of the organising team for MOVE Summit animation event which will take place 19th-21st February 2020.

We are recruiting an Event Coordinator to support the overall administration and organisation of our programme and operations.

We’re looking for someone who’s organised, enthusiastic, and proactive with previous experience in event organisation or relevant transferable skills. We’d also like someone with a warm interpersonal manner who will help make our speakers and collaborators feel welcome and well looked after.

This is for a freelance fixed term contract starting at the beginning of December 2019 – the end of February 2020. This post requires flexible working. The post-holder must be available for the festival dates 19-21 February 2020.

The rate for the role is £125 per day and the post will primarily be based at the Interference Pattern studio in Edinburgh.

We are the key organisers of the MOVE summit event, who along with our dedicated wider organisational team and event volunteers deliver the event annually in Edinburgh.


Unity Environment Artist

The Role

We are looking for a Unity environment artist for several upcoming projects, who will work with art leads and the art director to create compelling environments and lighting that satisfy aesthetic objectives . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with environment creation ideally within Unity however applicants with other other game engine knowledge are also encouraged to apply. We are ideally looking for a candidate with a range of experience across shot / environment creation and lighting, knowledge of compositing techniques within either live action or fully CG productions would be of benefit.

Requirements

  • A portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates a keen eye for detail and strong understanding of lighting/shading/texturing principles and techniques
  • Thorough understanding of real-time lighting techniques
  • Strong understanding of lighting/shading/texturing principles and techniques
  • Experience of real-time CG lighting and shading workflow
  • Technical understanding of lighting pipelines in other game engines
  • Understanding of compositing and post-processing principles
  • Currently be able to work in the UK
