Role

Our studio covers a wide range of animation including 3D CGI animation, VFX, real-time, VR, motion graphics and 2D animation.

We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic junior or aspiring animator or artist in any of those fields above, who can work to support the other established artists on the team, at the same time as developing their own skills within a studio environment.

This would suit someone with good drawing / design skills and/or some knowledge of existing animation software. Examples of this software include Maya, Photoshop, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Blender etc – but this is not an exhaustive list, there are many other software packages that would be equally relevant provided their used for design / animation.

For example, they might work with the animation team to export animation ready for lighting or be dealing with file and asset management. They will be given instruction in their tasks by experienced colleagues and will also be mentored in stand-alone creative tasks to allow them to develop skills and demonstrate their talents / competencies. There would be an expectation to participate in project based meetings or video calls as well as studio catch-up calls. Learning from more experienced staff members would be encouraged and facilitated wherever possible.

There is never a typical day in animation!
