Tom Bryant, Interference Pattern’s founder and now Managing Director worked as the lead cgi artist and supervisor on a 15 minute cgi animated adaptation of the critically acclaimed picture book, The Lost Thing, by Shaun Tan. Producing most of the on-screen cgi content Tom was also responsible for developing the visual style, taking the painterly style of the book’s illustrations and translating them into the three dimensional world of the film. The film went on to win the Oscar for “Best Animated Short Film” at the 83rd Academy Awards in 2011.
